What are the criteria to choose
When choosing a table, you need to take into account that the child must have the correct back position behind it. You can check the correct location by sitting the child at the table. If, at the same time, his legs touch the floor, and his knees are bent at right angles and the elbow rests comfortably on the tabletop, then the table is suitable for the child.
Only with this correct selection, the children's round table will provide the child with the correct posture and a convenient location. A healthy back and care for the correct formation of the spine should be the main criteria for such a choice. And the roundness of the shape will provide the child with complete safety, and as a result, the child will be healthy and feel complete comfort at the table.
With your own hands
You can make a wooden table in the child's room yourself. To do this, you will need the following materials and accessories:
- the material from which you will make the countertop (wood, plywood, chipboard or boards, etc.);
- timber from which the legs will be made;
- tools for working with wood;
- sandpaper for grinding surfaces;
- rope and pencil;
- stain, varnish and brushes.
Manufacturing
You need to make a tabletop, legs and an underframe that will connect the legs to the tabletop. The most important thing is to cut the round table top correctly and neatly. If you have chosen a plywood surface, its thickness should be at least 35 mm.
First, mark the center of the future table on a plywood sheet and fix a nail there. A rope with a pencil at the end is tied to the nail, it turns out something like a compass, with which the circle is drawn. The same manipulations are carried out with a round base, but its diameter should be smaller than that of the table top.

At the children's round table, the baby should be comfortable, the tabletop should be at least 40 cm and not more than 80 cm. The maximum distance for the position of the baby's legs under the table, in depth, should be 45 centimeters. The height of the table should correspond to the growth of the baby.
For a child with a height of 115 cm, a table with dimensions of 45-50 centimeters is suitable, and for a taller baby - no more than 60 centimeters. Compliance with all these parameters will ensure the creation of comfort and convenience for the child sitting at such a table. His back will not hurt and his legs will not get numb if he stays too long, for example, carried away by decorating some beautiful picture.
We make the legs from a wooden bar, and for better stability of the table, we prepare a couple of slats and strengthen them between the bars.
Fasteners in this case can be confirmed or self-tapping screws. Such fasteners will provide the table with a sufficiently large load. The legs must be screwed to the underframe in at least four places.
