Fixed
The first version of the shelves assumes a one-time installation. As a rule, wall and floor options for wardrobe are made of them. They are most often made from MDF or chipboard. This is a very democratic version of the designs. Shelves made of these materials are relatively lightweight and yet strong enough. However, they may contain chemicals, so they cannot be called completely environmentally friendly.

Sometimes in more expensive systems, shelves are made from solid wood or from typesetting solid wood. Both of these materials are highly durable, therefore, they are mainly used for bulky and heavy objects: suitcases, a box with tools, household appliances, and so on. These materials are distinguished by their environmental friendliness, but also by their high cost. Although the typesetting array is somewhat cheaper than wood. At the same time, the quality is in no way inferior to him - after all, it consists of the same wood, only instead of one thick wooden slab there are several thin ones.

Hardware for the installation of fixed shelves varies:
- Overhead, when the holder is attached to the wall itself, and the shelf is either attached from above, or just lies. This is how shelves made of solid wood, chipboard and MDF are usually attached.
- Cut-in, mounted inside the product itself. Also suitable for wood or chipboard.
- Brackets - shelf supports - this is one of the types of overhead fittings, but they are used exclusively for glass. In the bracket itself there are rubber pads to protect the shelf from deformation. They are able to withstand heavy loads.
- Pull-out - used for greater ease of use of cabinets.
- Guides - attached to the wall or to the lintel.
- The restraints are in the shape of a square or semicircle.

Removable
For such shelves, a material is chosen that will not lose its shape during repeated perturbations. These can be glass, metal or plastic shelves. Also, removable structures are sometimes made from solid wood.

Glass shelves compared to chipboard shelves, it is much thinner, but in terms of strength they are not inferior to them. Safety glass structures are resistant to mechanical stress. Wardrobe shelves can be made from regular clear glass, or you can experiment with color and choose frosted or silver glass shelves. With high light transmission properties, glass models with built-in LED-backlighting look very impressive in open wardrobe systems. If you have chosen this particular ecological material for your dressing room, it will be more expedient to place such shelves on top

Metal shelves for the dressing room most often have the form of a grid They are very light and thin. Mesh shelves are used mainly for lightweight items - bedding and underwear, summer clothes, and so on. The advantage of such shelves is their mobility. They can be swapped and moved vertically and horizontally, like parts of a constructor

These shelves are almost always made of steel and have an impact-resistant enamel coating to avoid accidental chipping. And what is especially important for allergy sufferers - they are not toxic and dust does not settle on them.

Pull-out shelf fittings:
- ball guides provide the movement of the shelf by analogy with a bearing due to balls. Such a mechanism can be fully or partially retractable. Provide smooth and quiet running.
- roller guides - partial extension mechanism. Often, to create the sides, a pull-out gallery is attached to the shelves complete with roller guides, which is a side limiter.
- telescopes with a closer ensure smooth and silent movement of the structure. The most popular are concealed mechanisms - they are mounted under a shelf or drawer and are not visible when opening. Such a mechanism is particularly durable and therefore is often used in expensive solid wood furniture.

Hardware for revolving shelves:
- mount for the base - top and bottom.
- the axis of rotation (base) is a metal pipe or pillar on which the shelves are held. The axis height can be changed to suit the cabinet.
- flanges for fastening the structure.

Shoe
Each dressing room must have a shoe cabinet or at least shelves for shoes. The simplest solution for storing shoes is a full-height wardrobe built into the wardrobe. Or they can be small cabinets that fit under clothes hangers. They can be divided thematically - winter shoes under outerwear, and summer shoes - under a wardrobe with light things. Sneakers and ballet flats will be stored in the sportswear compartment, and graceful stiletto heels will be stored under the dresses on the way out.

There are options for shelving with fixed shelves at an angle of 45 degrees. The most preferred material for such shelves is metal. It does not absorb moisture, which means that the shelf will not dry out if you put wet shoes on it. On such shelves, shoes are better visible and you can put not only shoes and boots on them, but also high boots.

Many manufacturers offer shoe cabinets with pull-out shelves - they are mainly made of wood texture - solid wood or veneer.

Very comfortable cabinets with revolving shelves. They are also called carousels because they have a 360 degree swing angle. Any material for their manufacture is suitable - plastic, wood, veneer, metal.

The requirements for shoe shelves are very simple. The shelf should be slightly wider than the largest pair of shoes. It is advisable to divide the shelves into sectors of three floors so that dust does not settle on them. For the same purposes, you can equip a shoe rack with doors - for a better view, they can be made of frosted glass.

Practice shows that the optimal section size should be designed for three pairs of shoes.
Design options
The shelves in the dressing room are selected depending on the design of the dressing room and on its type. In dressing rooms in the style of minimalism or High Tech, glass and metal mesh air structures with hidden fasteners will be appropriate.

If you are equipping a dressing room in a children's room, you can choose shelves made of bright colored plastic, or paint them with paints with your child. If the shelves look like a closed structure with sides, you can stick images of various wardrobe items on them to make it easier for the child to navigate in space.

For a classic dressing room in the bedroom, a great option for shelves with a wooden veneer texture or solid wood.

If the dressing room is open, then you can choose an original design of shelves with unusual shapes or heterogeneous colors. However, in order not to "overload" the interior with an abundance of avant-garde, a calm, moderate tone of the back wall is used for unusual shelves. And on such structures, ordinary objects should be placed.

If you already have a dressing room and you just want to update the picture in front of your eyes, you can change the background of the wall on which the shelves are located - for example, stick a photo wallpaper or a bright unusual sticker with a large pattern. The theme of such stickers can be the most unexpected - an antique-style vase, a cat or dog, or a musical instrument if the owner of the room is fond of music. Also, between the shelves, you can install, for example, a hanger for ties and belts, or umbrella stands.

The shelves in the form of a snake (or a train) look very extraordinary, when one shelf is a continuation of the next and they are all located one after another at different heights and distances. This will greatly refresh the interior and make it more modern.

The simplest shelf with the most ordinary base can be decorated with improvised means and made it ultra-fashionable and exclusive. The design and texture of any shelf can be changed using ordinary fabric, veneer or self-adhesive film. If you still have pieces of old wallpaper, you can paste over the shelves with them, and then they will form a single whole with the wall. The entire structure will appear to be floating in zero gravity.
