Operating instructions and precautions

The most suitable fuels for Bavaria fireplace stoves are wood briquettes or dry wood with a low calorific value. To achieve the required moisture content of the logs, they must be kept for a year and a half in a dry, ventilated room.

Damp wood gives off little heat and a lot of soot, thus contaminating the chimney.

In no case should coal be used for burning, since its combustion temperature is too high.

Before firing up, it is necessary to open the air regulators, lay firewood, and only then light the firebox. The wood is on fire, you can close the door. Further, the combustion power is regulated using air regulators.

The ash pan from the Bavaria stoves can only be removed after the fireplace has completely cooled down.

DIY installation

Under no circumstances should the Bavaria fireplace stoves be installed in rooms where there are flammable materials, for example, in garages.

The installation of these ovens must be carried out according to the instructions that come with each model.

In order for everything to work without problems, the following rules must be observed:

  • installation must be carried out in a room with a sufficient supply of fresh air;
  • install the oven on a flat horizontal floor with a non-combustible coating;
  • in front of the firebox and the ash box, a metal sheet is placed at least 0.5 mm thick, more than 70 millimeters wide;
  • the installation is carried out so that the temperature of nearby combustible materials does not rise above 50. Where this does not work, a protective screen is installed.
  • the chimney must have a height of at least 5 m. It is allowed to connect only two stoves to the chimney at the same time.

When the fireplace is fired up for the first time, an unpleasant odor will be emitted, which will disappear within a few hours - this will burn out the transport soil.

Testimonials

The impression of the Bavaria line of fireplace stoves is very good. First of all, it is a low price, ease of installation. These ovens are doing quite well with the promises made by the Ekokamin Group of Companies. Although negative reviews are also found, but this is more likely due to improper operation, the use of raw firewood or firewood with increased heat transfer.
