When building your house, you start to think about how to organize heating. According to the old Russian tradition, it is customary to heat a home with a wood-burning stove. The Angara-12 stove-fireplace of the Belarusian company "Meta" will perfectly cope with this.
The Angara fireplace stoves are made of high quality steel, the thickness of which is 5mm. Outside, the body is covered with heat-resistant enamel, on the sides there are inserts made of ceramic tiles, which not only bring aesthetics, but also increase the heat transfer of the stove. Inside, the firebox is trimmed with fireclay bricks, which protects it from fast burning out. The grate is made of cast iron. These stoves have a door with a large viewing glass, which allows you to fully admire all the beauty of the burning flame, while you can not be afraid of sparks flying out of the fireplace. The Angara fireplace stoves have a convection method of operation, which allows you to quickly warm up the air in the premises.
All stoves of the Angara line have a niche at the bottom for storing firewood, which is very convenient, no additional platforms are required for this.
Ovens of this line are available with a stove, which will allow you to cook food. It is also possible to purchase a stove with a heat exchanger, to which you can connect heating radiators.
The Angara-12 fireplace stove is produced with increased dimensions, which allows it to be heated with wood, up to 50 cm long. All design features of the "Meta" company Angara stoves are preserved in it. It can also be purchased with a cooker or with a heat exchanger, depending on your needs.
All models of "Meta" Angara fireplace stoves have a thermal power of 12-14 kW, while the efficiency reaches 70%. They are capable of heating an area of up to 120 squares. The built-in long burning system allows these ovens to work continuously for 4-8 hours. In this case, the laying of firewood is 3-4 kg. For the operation of the Angara fireplaces, dry firewood or brown coal briquettes are used.
MetaFire strictly prohibits the use of coal due to its high combustion temperature.
Due to its size, the Angara-12 furnace has the highest performance: thermal power 14 kW, efficiency 70%, heated area of 120 m2, burning time up to 8 hours. It has dimensions of 0.535x0.7x1.040 m. Its weight is 195 kg.
Principle of operation
Before using the Angara-12 fireplace stove, you must read the operating instructions and strictly follow all points.
Installation at this fireplace is simple. The main task is to remove the chimney. Attaching it to the oven is not difficult. A detailed drawing for installing a fireplace can be seen in the figure.
The Angara-12 fireplace stove is simple to operate.
At the first fire, to prevent damage to the paintwork and fireclay bricks, it is recommended to lay 1-2 logs, reduce the heating time to one and a half hours. During this period, the varnish with which the oven is covered will harden and bake. An unpleasant odor will be emitted during the first fire, therefore it is recommended to open windows in the room.
The second kindling can be already 2-2.5 hours, and will increase the amount of firewood up to 3 kilograms. Then you can heat the stove as usual.
First, an intensive combustion mode is established, for which all valves on the furnace are opened. When the room temperature reaches the required one, the stove is switched to the fuel saving mode - all the dampers are closed, which limits the supply of oxygen. In this mode, the oven can operate for up to eight hours without lining the wood.
Advantages and disadvantages
The main advantage of the Angara-12 fireplace stove is, undoubtedly, its price.Furnaces of this level are much more expensive.
The indicators stated by the Meta firm fully justify themselves. With proper operation of this fireplace, it will completely take over the heating of a room of 120 squares. You can use this stove without connecting the heating circuit, however, always with a filled heat exchanger. It should be noted, however, that such exploitation increases wear on parts.
Ceramic inserts retain and give off heat for another two hours, after turning off the fireplace. Choosing a stove-fireplace Angara-12 with a stove, during its operation, you can warm up the kettle or cook food without spending additional energy.
A capacious firewood box allows you to store their quantity for several fireboxes. The ash drawer is completely removable, allowing debris to be removed without any problems. Firewood can be used up to 50 cm long. It is possible to fill the heating circuit with antifreeze and operate it in the country in winter as needed. But, according to reviews, there are also disadvantages to the Angara-12 fireplace stoves.
More firewood than stated. Glass is sometimes smoked, even if the recommended firewood is used. You can only heat with wood, the moisture content of which is less than 18%, or with briquettes.
Ceramic inserts get dirty quickly, it is better to choose darker colors. Based on all that has been said, the Angara-12 stove is an excellent budget option for a country house or summer cottage, especially since there are much fewer minuses than pluses.
