People have always sought to improve their home, this trend has become especially pronounced in recent times, since there is a wide range of goods on the market. To a greater extent, this applies to home accessories and decor items, one of which is carpets. They can vary in quality, size and manufacturing technology. An exclusive option is considered to be a jacquard carpet, perfectly complements interiors of various styles… Before talking about design solutions, you need to figure out what jacquard rugs are.
It is not without reason that such rugs are considered elite, and the reason for this lies in the technology of their manufacture: the manufacturer makes carpets from twisted threads of different density and stiffness. A pile woven rug, such as a two-piece jacquard rug, is a dense fabric based on two so-called frames.… These canvases are connected with pile warp threads. This method makes it possible to fill the surface of the product with nap to the maximum, which determines the stability and strong fixation of the threads in the frame. This ensures the durability of the product.
Carpets are made on special weaving machines. Despite this, the product is very close in quality to a handmade product. The main advantage of such rugs is their density, since the villi are located closely and compactly, and the height of the pile as a whole is approximately 10 millimeters.
Thanks to these characteristics, the carpet is distinguished by high strength of threads and great functionality, for example, soundproof and dirt-repellent properties, low fire hazard, because fire-retardant natural yarn is used as the pile.
Features of the
Thanks to the large number of threads in the composition, a delightful ornament appears that is hardly possible to reproduce on another product, which ensures the aesthetic uniqueness of the carpet. The drawing turns out to be an intricate and intricate, complex shape, usually consisting of several shapes and colors. The principle of shade matching consists of a combination of a neutral and muted base color and a bright complementary color in which the drawing is performed. It can be of various themes: plant, geometric, and fantasy, so in many ways they are analogous to tapestries. The carpets are very beautiful thanks to original ornaments, which can easily fit into most interiors: office, home, and public space.
Especially high quality are considered Belarusian, especially Brest jacquard carpets, because thanks to their quality and density of weaving, they most accurately imitate hand-made products, since they qualitatively reproduce the pile knots characteristic of hand-made carpets.
A great advantage of such products is the possibility of varying shapes and lengths: you can choose both a traditional rectangular and a carpet runner.
The selection of a product should be taken seriously, because in order to choose a really high-quality floor covering, you need to take into account factors such as composition, pile density and, of course, design.
The best option would be to choose carpets made from natural raw materials, for example, wool or cotton and tow, because fibers of this type are considered the highest quality products. However, when buying such a product, the cost is striking, which will not seem justified for everyone, so many turn to inexpensive options of artificial origin. The fibers of such carpets are usually composed of polypropylene, nylon and polyester. The advantage of such raw materials is a dirt-repellent coating, but they are fire hazardous.
Density acts as a determining factor because it determines the sound insulation properties and the ability to retain heat. To determine these qualities, you need to look at the back of the rug. This will allow not only to visually assess the quality of the product, but also to look at the distance between the threads, because if it is large, this means that the carpet is not at all wear-resistant: it will quickly wrinkle and the pattern will fade.
When choosing a carpet, one must not forget about where it is planned to put it, because each place has its own characteristics:
- Into the hallway it will be advisable to lay a carpet not only from artificial materials, but also with a rubber frame. Firstly, the product will not wear off, which will provide it with a long service life. And the ornament will be able to level out stains and possible scuffs. Accordingly, it is better to buy a carpet runner.
- For bedroom a soft carpet with a long pile is suitable, it will create comfort and give softness to the floor surface. The most optimal is a large light carpet, since it, due to the neutrality of light, will visually increase the space and will be able to match any room design.
- In the nursery use bright colors in the room: they will perfectly interact with the interior, for example, you can play on the unusual shape of the rugs and pick up a flower carpet or a machine carpet. With regards to the pile, it is better to pay attention to the long or medium.
- Products with a rubberized base I will be appropriate in the bathroom, because they have a water-repellent effect, which can significantly extend the life of the product.
There are hardly any universal solutions that suit absolutely any interior. However, it is worth remembering the basic rules of color. The win-win options are light neutral shades - for example, beige, cream, or the color of a dusty rose, but at the same time, you need to focus on the style of the room: a carpet-skin is absolutely not suitable for a bedroom in the Baroque style. For this reason, choose classic shapes and colors.
How to make a bed?
In order for the carpet to emphasize the interior and complement it, and not spoil it, it is necessary to properly spread the carpet: wooden grips with a width of about 20-30 millimeters will be needed, they must contain needles that form a ledge at an angle of 60 degrees. This is important because later they will be able to keep the jacquard rug taut. It is necessary to nail the slats, the needles at this moment should be directed with the point to the wall. If the house has concrete floors, special grips can also be found for them: they will be attached to the floor with a dowel.
It is a fastener that holds the structure in place by its complementarity with other fastening tools.
The distance between the wall and the grip should not be large: it is approximately equal to the thickness of the jacquard carpet, that is, it should be about 5 mm or slightly less. If there is a problem associated with the curvature of the wall, then it is necessary to bend the gripper rail, since they are almost the main tools, then each subsequent grip must be correlated and pressed against the face of the previous grip.
In the event that you need to lay the carpet on a tiled floor, you need to reduce the slats by making them about 10 centimeters or more. Ideally, they should be the same width as the floor tiles. The grips must be attached to the floor, and this requires contact adhesive or "Moment".Remember that the surface must be well sanded, otherwise the grippers will not be able to attach properly to it. Often, a special lining is needed under the carpet - its area should slightly exceed the area of the room. The edges of this padding are attached with double-sided tape to the inside of the gripper, after which they are trimmed with a special knife for carving on linoleum.
A big problem is the connection of the carpet panels in such a way that there are no gaps between them. To do this, cut them along the connecting contour, and then put a cloth tape under this cut line, on which mastic must subsequently be applied. She should also anoint the edges of the panels, connect them together and press them firmly to the floor.
If the carpet is laid correctly, the room will receive visual completeness and comfort will reign in it.
