How to do it yourself?

You don't need to be a builder to install a portal to a doorway yourself. First of all, the old door frame is dismantled. If you cut the box beam in the middle, the dismantling process will speed up many times, the floors and walls will not suffer. Side edges of the portal will be formed from the additions for interior doors. It is important that the side walls are flat. If not, use plaster and corners. With the corners, it is easier to expose the edge of the opening so as not to reduce the extensions. It is important to set the first corner exactly in order to avoid further skewing of the entire structure.
The space between the corners must be filled with a solution and wait until it is completely dry. After that, by attaching the finish to the door and stepping back a few centimeters from above, a through hole is made using a drill. Dowel-nails are used for a concrete wall, and self-tapping screws for a gas silicate wall. First, the add-on is fixed at the top, bottom and then on the central holders. On the other side and on top, the extension is attached in exactly the same way. You can replace the self-tapping screws with assembly glue.
If you are sure of the accuracy of your calculations, then you can build a three-sided portal separately, then insert it into the doorway and put it on self-tapping screws.
Interior rectangular arches are now at the peak of popularity.
