Glue "Moment" has proven itself in the field of adhesives, so many people use it during repair and household work. This tool can be used to glue any material, it adheres perfectly to any surface due to its excellent ability to penetrate into the smallest cracks and pores. But if these properties are suitable for the gluing procedure as never before, then difficulties may arise with the task of cleaning the skin, because not everyone knows how to remove the Moment glue from their hands.

Why is glue dangerous?
Before you start working with quick-drying glue, you need to know how to remove it if the adhesive liquid gets on the epidermis. Due to its liquid consistency, a product called "Moment" dries up in a matter of seconds, penetrating into all the pores that are on the surface in contact with it. The composition has no color, but is presented with an expressive pungent odor, quickly sets, combining even with non-porous materials. Human skin has many microscopic cracks, pores, its top layer is not ideal, if you examine the epidermis under a microscope, you can see how many different roughnesses are hidden on it. This is why it is so difficult to remove the adhesive from human skin.
Important: there is no need to open the parts of the body that are stuck to each other, because such actions can adversely affect the skin, causing deep wounds.

It is necessary to carry out various manipulations with such glue as "Moment" only with rubber gloves. Children should not be allowed to quickly set chemical products. The glue that has dried on the skin causes a feeling of tightness, over time it will peel off by itself, but the skin, covered with a chemical film, stops breathing, as a result of which various allergic reactions may appear. To prevent the epidermis from suffering, it is better to use harmless methods to remove the glue from the skin.

What can be washed?
The process of removing superglue is quite problematic, but it can also be done at home.
There are options for resolving an unpleasant situation, such as:
- washing the skin with special substances;
- mechanical cleaning of glue from the skin;
- use of chemical reagents.

Each of the above methods can be used separately, however, in some cases, when it is not possible to remove superglue from the skin with one method, you can use a combination of several options.
Special means
Having foreseen the situations that users may face, manufacturers of quick-drying adhesives have released an anti-adhesive product in advance, which is able to dissolve the dried film without effort on the part of the victim. The main components of the special tool are propylene carbonate and acetone. A gel-like substance can remove glue from skin and other inorganic materials. The only limitation in the instructions states that the solvent must not be used on utensils in contact with food, as well as on products with a paint and varnish surface. The stained area of the skin must be treated with a small amount of gel, and after a few minutes, wash off the entire resulting mass with running water.
The waiting time depends on the type of antiglue.

Some specimens do not act as quickly as the victims would like. Sometimes you need to wait 15 minutes or more before the special substance starts to act. Today anti-glue is the most effective method for removing Moment glue from the skin. It dissolves the adhesive as carefully and safely as possible, however, not all buyers are satisfied with the speed of its work. Therefore, in situations where the problem needs to be addressed immediately, other measures to remove superglue are suitable.
Mechanical method
As practice shows, most often people who need a one-time help of this substance get dirty with Moment glue. Buyers do not always know about the existence of anti-glue and, if necessary, cannot use this solvent due to their ignorance. Therefore, all kinds of mechanical cleaning options are used. The epidermal layer of the skin is lined with dead keratinized cells, and fast-acting glue seeps into them. If you steam your hands in warm water, the adhesion of the skin to the glue will be significantly reduced.
To get the perfect mini sauna environment for your hands, you need to make a special mixture of water, glycerin, salt and citric acid.which can be replaced with vinegar or vinegar essence. The latter components lead to the exfoliation of dead cells, and glycerin softens the skin, allows it to rest after a hard test. The bath must be taken from 30 minutes or more. The skin should steam well. The disadvantage of this method is the long holding time and convenience, because not every part of the body can be steamed in this way.

If a small area on the body has been stained with glue, you can try washing it off with regular soap. It is enough to foam the hygiene product and rub it on the affected area. If the glue is still felt on the body after the soap, you can use a scrub or pumice stone. A scrub is an abrasive that exfoliates dead skin particles. Any type of this product is suitable for both face and body. At home, a commercially available product can be replaced with insoluble coffee.
If the scrub could not cope with the film of dry glue, a more aggressive force should be applied - pumice. It is also necessary to use a scrub and pumice stone only after steaming the skin. But these options are more suitable for men whose skin is much rougher than women's. The foreign substance on the body must be cleaned off slowly, you should not apply force. After scrub and pumice, the wounded area will already be rough, it may itch, redden.

Abrasive products such as finely coated sandpaper and a nail file will also help to get the "Moment" out of your hands. Some buyers write about the benefits of sand. So, residents of private houses sometimes resort to using this natural component. It is better to use a file when the glue is already dry. Manicure accessories need to be very carefully cut down "Moment".
It is important not to overdo it or damage your hands by cutting the skin along with the adhesive.

Chemical methods
You need to understand that any substance included in the list of chemical substances can only be applied to adults. Children's skin is very delicate and vulnerable, so it can suffer greatly from contact with overly aggressive reagents. It should also be noted that almost all chemicals have an unpleasant pungent odor. Therefore, you need to resort to their help either in open space or in non-residential premises. It is very dangerous for children to breathe in vapors of chemical agents.
If you do not use anti-glue, you can get rid of the "Moment" on the body with several drugs
Acetone or other acetone-containing products, such as nail polish remover. Before you start washing your hands with acetone, you need to rub a small amount of this product on a small area of the skin, which will prevent the development of an allergic reaction. If nothing terrible has happened, you can safely wet the bonding site with acetone. If there is a concern about the aggressiveness of the product, you can replace it with a nail polish remover, where the concentration of the active substance is much lower. In addition, almost all modern liquids contain glycerin and vitamins, which means that their use is quite acceptable and not so dangerous. The soiled area should be covered with a cotton pad soaked in liquid and wait 5 minutes. This time is enough for the superglue to completely dissolve. After the procedure, you need to wash your hands with soap and water to remove traces of glue and solvent from the skin

"Dimexid" Is a drug sold in every pharmacy. The drug "Dimexid" is known not only for its action in the treatment of various diseases, with its help the hardened "Moment" glue is easily washed off. The solution has a slightly perceptible garlic odor. A piece of cotton wool soaked in "Dimexidum" should be rubbed over the stuck part of the hands. The liquid will cope with the glue in a matter of minutes
Salt well helps in removing traces of glue from the skin of the hands. In this case, it acts as a two-phase component. At the first stage, it works like a scrub - it acts on the glue mechanically. After dissolving, it corrodes the adhesive - it plays the role of a chemical reagent. As in the above options, hands must be steamed before using table salt, this is the only way to wipe off the glue from your fingers. It is not necessary to make a salt bath, you can just wash the dishes. Take a pinch of fine salt and rub it on the soiled area of the body for about a minute. Salt can cause irritation on your hands, but it will quickly go away if you apply a moisturizer to your skin after cleansing

White Spirit. This substance should be used only as a last resort, since it is an aggressive solvent and its use in its pure form does not always go without a trace. The tool really helps to erase the film of Moment glue from many surfaces, and the human body is no exception. However, you cannot keep white spirit (especially in a concentrated form) on the skin for a long time. Long contact with the epidermis can cause allergic reactions - itching, redness
Sometimes there are times when it is impossible to scrub the skin or treat it with chemicals, because it is too sensitive, prone to allergies. In such cases, you can replace not very pleasant procedures with a simple dishwashing, hand washing, or you can do wet cleaning of the room. Hands should be in the water as long as possible, only in this case the glue will fall off by itself.

When none of the above methods worked, other methods that have been tested over the years and whose effectiveness has been confirmed by consumer reviews can come to the rescue
- Edible fat (butter or sunflower oil, margarine, chicken or pork lard). This natural product quickly removes superglue without harm to the skin. You can smear your hands with any grocery ingredient you find in the fridge and the glue will clear the skin with minimal discomfort from the procedure. If you hold fat on your hand, then under the influence of body temperature, it will begin to melt, and with it the superglue. All the slurry will slowly begin to peel off the hands without leaving a trace of "Moment". If the adhesive has dried a minute or two ago, it will come off almost instantly. If the glue film has covered the skin for a long time, the procedure using fat must be repeated. Slowly, but thanks to the fat, the chemical will drain from the skin without causing any harm to the epidermis.
- Vinegar. Add a little vinegar to a glass of water at room temperature. Next, moisten a piece of cotton wool in the resulting solution and process the film from "Moment". If the glue has not reacted in any way, then you should not repeat the procedure again. If there are damaged areas on the body, it is better not to use vinegar.

- Washing powder can also be useful in combating glue residue on your hands. First you need to make a solution: one glass of warm water will require a quarter of a glass of washing powder. The resulting mixture must be applied to the area of the skin where there is glue and hold for 20-25 minutes. It is not recommended to keep the powder on the skin longer, otherwise allergic reactions may occur.
- Petrolatum works on the same principle as natural fat. But before you start rubbing your skin with this substance, you should wash your hands well. After that, you need to smear petroleum jelly on the skin, not sparing the funds, and wait a few minutes. If there is very little glue, a cosmetic will surely help. If after the first application no noticeable results have occurred, you can safely repeat the procedure, petroleum jelly will not bring any harm.
- Any cosmetic creamthat is in the house. Cosmetics work in the same way as edible fat and petroleum jelly, although they take much longer to cope with the problem. Nevertheless, if nothing else is at hand, you can try these remedies. The manufacturer is irrelevant. The cream must be rubbed into the problem area and wait until the glue itself begins to fall off. After removing the remaining glue, you need to wash your hands well.

Helpful hints
Any process requires special attention, especially if it concerns human health. If you have to work with Moment glue, it is imperative to cover the work surface with paper or film, and protect your hands with disposable gloves. Thus, you can protect not only furniture, but also your own body from pollution. Under no circumstances should glue be given to children. It is also undesirable to inhale chemical vapors.
If working with glue is regular, you must use a respirator. To avoid getting your fingers dirty, rubber gloves from the pharmacy will do. They are thin, so they will not interfere with working with glue. They can be removed only at the end of all manipulations with the adhesive. If there are no gloves, you can do the work with a match or a toothpick.

You need to try not to press the glued parts together, but lightly attach, otherwise there is a high probability that your hands will get dirty, moreover, you can easily stick to the workpiece. If superglue is used often, it is better to get a gun, because working with it is much safer. The most harmless method for removing glue from living tissue is running water and cosmetic soap (household soap is also suitable, only non-liquid). However, they can only clean the skin from the "fresh" glue, as long as it is not strongly adhered to the skin. And only when the people's councils did not help, you can take up household chemicals. However, aggressive substances must be used very carefully and carefully, slowly, so as not to damage the skin of the upper extremities.

Hand treatment after removing the Moment glue
The choice of a method for cleaning hands from superglue is just as important as the manipulations that need to be carried out after removing the glue, namely, washing the contaminated areas under running water. Clean skin will not hurt to wipe dry and spread with cosmetic cream, it is better to use a baby cream. Hygienic body oil is also suitable. If, after all the procedures performed, the skin shows signs of allergy: redness, tooth, burning sensation - you should consult a dermatologist.
